Geeks of Christ Takes a Comprehensive Look at the Same-Sex Wedding in Marvel Comics

Who the heck is Northstar?

***End of Geeks of Christ Takes a Comprehensive Look at the Same-Sex Wedding in Marvel Comics***

But seriously.

Is Marvel saying anything? They’re use of a no-name character no reader ever even notices might say more about Marvel’s views on the matter.
It’s easy enough to say you’re for gay marriage, Marvel. But what if one of your kids came out? I’m not talking about the hundreds of dull mutants roaming around your universe. I mean what if Wolverine or Spider-Man or … well, I was going to name one of your big-deal female characters but you have so few (I mean, you could make Sue Storm gay but that would be forcing the issue a little, I think. Or you could make the Black Cat gay…but that would somehow seem more misogynistic than ever.)

Anyway, the character you’ve chosen for your little statement is so far off everybody’s radar (even most nerd radar) that I believe you’ve betrayed your true goal.

I’ll get back to you when you’re actually ready to say something.

  1. I have always thought they should have made one of their bigger characters come out as gay. The fact that they chose a less famous superhero shows half-heartedness and, unintentional maybe, homophobia. At least Batwoman for DC was a B-list rather than C-list like Northstar (though he is a character I like).

What dost thou think'st?
